
No, I am not pant-less in the above picture. I was wearing shorts and I didn't realize how risque it looks until now. I still can't get over the beauty of it. The repeats are simple, it's a 15 row pattern with every other row being a resting, all purl row.

I cannot wait to have it finished. The yarn is amazingly soft to work with and was worth spending a little more than I normally do on a shawl.
Also, mom's newest pair of socks is almost done.

They are made out of a cotton blend I purchased for $3 a ball at the LYS. I got all of the first and 2/3 of the second sock from one ball of that stuff. I scooped up a ton of it and I have two more balls in this colorway so socks for myself will be next on the list. These are just a basic mock cable pattern that I made up as I went along. Sometimes the fact that I have large feet isn't so bad. At least when I knit socks for other people they seem to go much faster.
