New Project

As much as I want to start a sweater from the new IK issue I think it should wait until after finals. So I'm working on Ene's Scarf now from Scarf Style.



I'm using KnitPicks Shimmer in Turquoise Splendor. This is the first shawl I've worked from the top down. And while casting on 375 was a real pain in the ass I like the idea of it getting smaller the farther I go. Usually the end of a shawl feels like it takes forever because the last few rows are huge. This way the end will be smaller and hopefully that will give me more motivation to finish it in a reasonable amount of time. Unlike the Snowdrop Shawl where I shamelessly let it sit in my knitting basket for months.
