Back From Vacation

We came back from our vacation in the Dells yesterday instead of today. The weather simply was not cooperating but we still had a good time in spite of that. Swimming was limited to the indoor pool but we did take a sunset dinner boat tour and we saw the Wonder Spot, which was pretty cool. Lil enjoyed the chairs at Cracker Barrel.



She's still recovering from the adventure today and is taking an early nap. So I decided to go out and check the mail and I saw this.



My little heart went all a flutter and I raced inside to open it.



My pal is Kirstin! And she made me Swedish Fish Socks! They were so totally worth the wait and the fact that my original pal bailed out doesn't even matter now. I love them so much! And they are a perfect fit. She wrote a nice note on Japanese stationary with cutesy "Engrish". Plus she sent a box of Swedish Fish with the socks.



Look at the amount of detail in them. Amazing lace work and pretty little cables on the cuffs.





The fish are already gone, I ate the whole box. (What? They are fat free and if I didn't eat them before Little Bit got up I'd have to share them. Removing candy from her hair isn't one of my favorite games.) I had to wait a little longer than most for my socks, but I am sooo happy with them. :)
