Spanish, knitting, and books. That's been my life for the last several weeks.

I'm taking my third, and final, semester of Spanish right now and it is crazy hard. The professor shortened the class to a mere 5 weeks and it's intense. And I'm tired.

I've been knitting a lot to relax me when I'm at home. I finished two sweaters for myself and I'm about 1/4 of the way through a new sweater for Jim. It's a dark, tweedy, pine green and it's going to look so good on him. I like him in blue too but I really think dark greens look great on him.

I finished the Twilight series and dove into the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I'm through book one and I've started book two. It's so good. It's 1/2 historical novel (set in 18th century Scotland, be still my heart) and 1/2 smutty romance. I should probably be reading something more respectable after Twilight, like Vonnegut or maybe even a little LeGuin since I haven't finished the book of her short stories I started last summer. But I need a guilty indulgence. And for semi-romance novels the series is really well written. I have books three and four waiting for me so I don't have to stop reading once I get into it. The series is six novels long and that makes me so happy. It should keep me busy for awhile. The fact that the lead male character is a hunky, red-haired Scotsman doesn't hurt either.
