Kids music

My music loving four year old is really into the idea of having her own music on mommy's iPod. She likes a lot of the stuff I listen to but at the same time I think it's important to have 'age appropriate' music on there for her to listen to. (Flight of the Concords are funny but people look at me strange when she starts singing "The humans are dead.") She has a couple cds which we listen to (over and over and over) so I told my mom that I wanted to get her some really good children's music this year, something which isn't sung by Mickey Mouse and won't drive mommy up the wall. So my mom got her a cd by Raffi, which is more than acceptable.

But about a year ago I heard this really cool children's song called "Zero's" and it turned out that it was done by They Might Be Giants. When I was on iTunes today I discovered they have several children's albums and I went ahead and bought "Here Come the 123's". Finally, kids music that is actually music. I couldn't be happier.
