It's the Hemlock Ring Blanket from Brooklyn Tweed. I love this pattern. It knit up quickly and it is really beautiful. And much to the joy of my husband the yarn was from my stash. It only took two skeins of Cascade Eco Wool, one of my all-time favorite yarns, which I bought over a year ago for $9 or $10 each. So a pretty economical knit.

It's going to be for my niece, who I promised a blanket almost a year ago when her baby brother was born. I made a blanket for my sister and gave it to her at her baby shower and as soon as my niece saw it she asked if she was getting one too. I tried to make her a larger version of the one I made him, but I stalled out on it and just got sick of knitting the endless chevron.

So now I've finally finished a blanket for her and of course Lilly wants one too. Last weekend I took her down to Sheep Street and let her pick out the yarn she wanted. She chose a very pretty heathered purple and I'll be starting her blanket as soon as the weather cools down. I'm not sure what prompted me to work on a project that required so much heavy wool on my lap in the middle of August, but I have no desire to immediately repeat that behavior.
Kara, I think that is beautiful and I looked at the pattern but it confused me....can you explain what to do...I think that you must start it as the dolly and then switch to the fan and feather. I guess that I am not experiemced enough to figure it out without the entire pattern Help me, I want to make this also, I was thinking of Anjalea since she still doesn't have the baby blanket that Julie wasn't going to bring home from the hospital without LOL love Cindi
