Tomato progress

At the end of the day yesterday this is where the Swiss Miss Tomato is. (Named such because it is almost the exact shades of the Swiss Miss Cocoa packaging.)

I need to hustle and finish this up today if I plan to block it and wear it Saturday. And it's going to need a really good blocking.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Ravelry? I couldn't wait to get my invite to see what all the fuss was about and man oh man, it is wonderful. It's so cleverly organized and the whole concept is just amazing. I love being able to see so many examples of things I've considered knitting. It's so much easier than googling a pattern and hoping you can find other people's FO's. Plus you get to see all the modifications people have made to patterns as well. There are 63 Tomatos on there right now (including mine) and even though I'm knitting it as it's written (at least this time, I'm already thinking about one in forest green and khaki) it's nice to see the tweaks that everyone else has made to it. Ravelry is an amazing idea, I wish I had been the one who thought of it.

Kara, I would have given your socks a ribbon for sure...they are beautiful! I'm thinking of doing a tomato also but am worried if my limited skills can handle it(even if I am improving) Just ripped out 48 inches of Robin's wrap (it is for her birthday July 4th) and started over because as my skills improve I see all my mistakes so don't feel bad about an inch or too LOL Love ya and see you soon
