Notice anything? Look closer.

That is not houndstooth people. It is something far from it. I have no idea how I managed to screw up a simple pattern repeat, but I did. So a lifeline was run and some ripping took place.
This is so much better.

I want to finish it in time to wear it to Stitches on Saturday. Provided there's no more mistakes on my part that might just happen.
The yarn for my Kauni sweater is on it's way to me and I can't wait to start it. Which is another reason I need to finish this sweater. Because I'll want to cast on for Kauni the second it's in my hot little hands.
And now for sort of sucky news. I didn't do very well this year at the fair. I was really disappointed because the one project I thought might be worthy of a blue ribbon, my Tulip Socks, didn't get a ribbon at all. I ended up with two honorable mentions (my vest and my felted purse) and I know I should be happy about it but I'm just bummed. I also entered a vase that I made in my ceramics class last year and it placed 2nd, so that was a really pleasant surprise.
I suppose there's always next year, right?
