I just put a pre-order in for the yarn. (Because, like me, everyone wants to knit this thing now and the yarn is on back-order everywhere.) I'm awful. $70 including shipping. (Don't tell my husbeast!) I don't feel too terrible because it's been ages since I've really forked out that kind of money for anything. And I got my bonus on this paycheck. But I'm not going to have any money for Stitches if I keep this behavior up. So no more purchases until then.
It really is a beautiful sweater though and I know I'll wear the heck out of it. $70 is way more than I would normally spend on any piece of clothing but it's so pretty...and I want it. And sometimes you just have to spoil yourself. :)
The Mystery Stole is really slow going.
I just really haven't been in a lace mood. Plus the yarn is a camel/silk blend and smells like....well pretty close to what a camel's butt smells like I'm sure. I did finish the baby blanket though and last night I started on these.
I love baby socks. And since my little nephew (Yes, my sister is going to have a BOY and I'm so excited I can't stand it!) is going to be born in December he's going to need lots of warm little socks. And Aunt Kara is going to see to it that his little feet are nice and toasty.
