The lovely site that greeted me this morning. That's 6+ inches of snow (on top of the 6 inches we got last week that hasn't melted) and at current maybe an inch of ice on top of that. There has been a non-stop deluge of freezing rain since at least 7:30 this morning. That's when I crawled out of bed to find to my joy that my boss had ordered everyone to stay home today. And classes were canceled.
So I've spent the morning attempting to be productive. I've done some cleaning and worked on making cookies
And some rather bland blueberry muffins. With hot chocolate. :)
The no-white-flour part of my diet is really starting to get annoying. But I'm going to stick to it. I've lost 9lbs already, only 41 more to go to my goal. *sigh*
I've also made some slow progress on round #2 of the Deep V Argyle Vest.
I've cut the steeks and I'm working on the neck now. After that I have to finish the ribbing around the arms, weave in a few ends, and block the crap out of it. I'm a tad worried that this one isn't going to fit either, but it's MUCH closer than the last attempt. Cross your fingers for me.
I'm going to get a pair of my wool socks now, a nice hot cup of tea, and enjoy the silence the snow has brought. At least until Little Red wakes up from her nap.
