There's very little good news on the knitting front these days.

Mom felted the Race Socks I made her this weekend. From now on mom only gets superwash wool.

Still no sockapaloooza socks. My pal did email me awhile back, but I think I'm going to end up getting burned. I'm really disappointed. I worked so hard on the socks I sent out and I've not received anything in return. I don't think I'll be participating in any exchanges in the future. This always seems to happen to me in exchange situations. I'm always the one who picks out a really nice gift for a secret Santa type thing, only to be the one who gets the shittiest gift in return. It's not that I'm ungrateful, I'm just tired of being let down. To work so hard on the socks I sent out, and to get nothing in return is horribly frustrating for me, and quite possibly the biggest let down of all.

I did get over to Mass Ave Knit Shop on Sunday and spent a couple hours there with some of the girls. This Saturday they are having an overnight knit (from 7pm - 2am) and I'm planning on going. I think it will be a lot of fun. Then the following weekend is the Hoosier Hills Fiberarts Festival in Franklin, a mere 15 minutes away. Maybe the forecasted sunshine will help improve my knitting karma.

  1. That's a shame that you haven't received any socks. I looked at the ones you sent off, and they were beautiful!

  2. They do have sock saviors but I think that Alison is waiting a little longer before giving up on some of these people. She's assigned a few already, but it's for people who she knows have dropped out of this.

So I have to wait awhile longer. :\
