Look! Photographic evidence that I knit more than just socks!

This is Crumpets, which I've been working on for some time now.

Here's a closer view of the patterning on the top. The bottom is just stockenette but I'm using Cascade Cotton Rich, which has been hard on my hands. I wanted to do this as a dress, like the pattern is written, but I'm probably going to shorten it to make it a top instead. I'll knit it as a dress eventually, probably when I find something easier to knit with.

And, of course, more sock pictures.

The first of the hubby's anniversary socks.

The pattern is basicially basket stitch, so it's easy to memorize and is interesting enough to make me want to knit the second one, so he'll actually end up with a pair of socks.

I'm working on a few other things here and there. I can't commit to just one project, what kind of knitter would that make me? The Noni Garden Party Bag has also been a time killer. The bag itself was a really quick knit, I knit and felt the body of it this weekend. The flowers are small enough that I can carry them around and work on them at my leisure. It's so cute and I'm anxious to get some handles for it this weekend.

  1. The pattern on top is almost like smocking. Is that the point? Love it.
