I finished these two sweaters some time ago and finally got around to blocking them and sewing on the buttons.
This is my Red Riding Hood sweater.
It's huge and heavy and I'm incredibly proud of it. The pictures suck, because all I have is a point and shoot camera and the lighting inside my house is lousy. But it's so pretty in person and if I enter nothing else in the state fair this year I will enter this sweater.
And the second sweater.
This is actually a really pretty feathered purple, but it's impossible to tell from this picture. It's the same sweater that I made in blue before, but it's the right size this time. It fits wonderfully and I'm so pleased with it.
I'm working on the border for a sundress for Lilly right now and I just finished a small shawl, the first of my Christmas knitting. I'm still working on Jim's sweater but I doubt I'll have it done in time for this year's fair. I'm still reading the Gabaldon series (I'm on book 5 now) and I'm taking a history class that's pretty heavy on reading as well.
I'm ready for the three day weekend. I'd really like a week long vacation but I suppose I'll take what I can get.
kara,
ReplyDeletethe design on the back of that red sweater is amazing.
