This may seriously be the knit I am most proud of.

It's a wonderfully large shawl, it's delicate, and when it was blocking on my bedroom floor I was overwhelmed that I knit that.
The part that tickles me the most is that the waves, starfish, scallops, sand dollars, and cone shells actually look the way they should.
And I gave it away to my MIL. (She loves it insanely, btw.) I totally deserve the DIL-of-the-year award.
I've also made progress on the Tulip Socks ver 2.0. I finished the first one but I really hate short row heels. It looked wonky and not at all up to my standards. So I knit the second one with a heel flap and I like it much better.

Look at all the ends I have to weave in. >:0

I'm still working on those ends even though I spent an hour doing it last night.
So technically I have a pair of Tulip Socks now, but I'll be knitting another one like the one above so I have a pair I can turn in for the state fair.
On a grim note, Miss Lillian was bitten by my MIL's dog on Monday. She has 8 stitches between her eyebrows and another small stitch on her forehead. It was really bad and my MIL and FIL put the dog down yesterday morning. The plastic surgeon that was on duty came and did Lilly's stitches and assured me that if she has a scar it will be barely noticeable. I hope he's right because the idea of anything scarring her sweet, perfect little porcelain face just hurts more than I can stand.
