State Fair Knitting

I would have updated sooner but there's been a lot of personal stuff going on lately and that tends to get in the way of knitting. I did finish the 'baby' sweater. Turns out my gauge was waaaaay off and it fits Lilly. Oh well. :) I blocked it and sewed buttons on it and I'll try to get a decent picture of it this weekend. I'm going to enter it in the state fair along with my Candleflame Shawl and hopefully these socks.



That's the first one and I'm about 1/2 done with the cuff of the second sock. I'm doing the second one reverse of the first, purple on black instead of black on purple. These are the Maze socks I started for mom some time back. If I get them done in time to enter them she won't get them until the fair ends in late August. She knows I'm making them for her, but she doesn't know when I'll be done. Is it bad to not tell her I finished them so I can enter them? ;)

And I've also been working on a feather and fan patterned scarf for grandma.



It's super soft alpaca and I love working on it. It just slides through my fingers. It's for her birthday at the end of September but I wanted to be sure I had it done in time. Who knows how chaotic things will get when school starts.

Lil's Crumpets top is a perfect fit.



I swear this is the cutest thing I have ever made. On second thought, shorty's pretty cute herself... So Crumpets is the second cutest thing I've ever made. :)
